You are responsible for ensuring that projects are successfully completed on time and on budget. This includes project governance, budget and timeline development, build quality, testing and operational readiness, and the completed project's readiness to go live.
Purpose of the Role
AMEA S4o9 PMO Lead is responsible for end-to-end delivery management of S4o9 deployment in the region. The role requires extensive experience in managing and delivering complex, global, multi-phase SAP enterprise engagements using standard project management tools, skills and methodologies following Agile and Hybrid-Agile.
The role will cover deployment of o9 and S4 migration projects for AMEA. This role combines advanced project management and stakeholder engagement skills, with appropriate knowledge of enterprise applications, functionality and solutions to ensure the successful delivery of high-impact, high-value projects.
Main Responsibilities

  • Establishes and runs a well-structured program management governance and drive consistency and quality in project execution using MDS TGM methodology
  • Develops and manages an Integrated Master Project plan on MS Project and JIRA - the plan should clearly map out critical path deliverables and cross-workstream dependencies
  • Represent Project performance in the BU/regional S4o9 governance forums
  • Being proactive in identifying and managing risks and what is coming down; and communicating with key stakeholders in a productive and engaging manner is critical to the success - Owns Risk tracking and reporting through JIRA
  • Coordinate and align plans and deliverables with cross-functional teams, engaging with internal and external partners to ensure successful program delivery
  • Responsible for driving overall project delivery - including meeting of all project tollgates/milestones within set timelines (as per project plan)
  • Work closely with the SAP DevOps team and act as a key point of contact for facilitating information to and from the DevOps team to the Project Team
  • Tracks and reports on scope change control and facilitates KDD development and presentations at Regional Alignment Forums
  • Partner with MDS Test Management, including test strategy, requirements traceability matrix, and test scripts for unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, User acceptance testing, and performance testing


What you will bring

Experience: 15-20 years of experience in Digital and Business Transformation Program and Project management with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
5-8 years project experience of delivering SAP/S4 Migration projects and/or Planning tool implementation (IBP/o9/SAC..)
Functional Skills: Proven track record of delivering project using recognised Project Management Methodologies - Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Prince2 etc. Knowledge and exerience of MDLZ TGM would be ideal.
Technical Skills: Working experience of SAP Modules (preferably SD, MM and FIN). Advanced expertise in working with Project Management Tools (MS Project, JIRA); Comprehensive understanding of SAP Activate Methodology - release management, DevOps methodology, Data Migration, Testing and Cut over Management. Familiarity with SAP RISE deployment would be good to have.
Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire project teams and drive successful project outcomes. Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Information Technology or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred. Project Management Certification from industry accredited bodies - PMP, Agile/Scrum etc.
How you will contribute
Project Leadership: Lead the end-to-end project delivery for AMEA BUs within S4o9 transformation program, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between Regional S4o9 (functional and MDS) Delivery teams, Global S4o9 workstreams and partner teams, ensuring clear communication driving decisions and requirements.
Team Management: Proven ability in building effective teams across internal and external partners
Reporting: Establish and maintain governance frameworks and reporting mechanisms to ensure transparency and accountability on project deliverables throughout the S4o9 transformation process.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with the transformation project, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Change Management: Skill in managing and leading change initiatives within an organization.
Strategic Thinking: Strategic mindset with the ability to align projects with organizational goals and adapt to evolving priorities.
