Role Summary: 

As the Assistant Manager for Product Copy, you will be integral to enhancing the brand narrative and driving customer engagement for Saks Off Fifth. In this key role, you will oversee the creation and management of compelling product descriptions that resonate with our target audience, ensuring that each product reflects the luxury and quality of our merchandise.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and sustain a cohesive tone of voice and style across all product listings. Your responsibilities will include:

Leading the team in crafting and editing high-quality product copy 

Ensuring all product information is accurate, consistent, and aligned with brand standards

Implementing strategies to optimize product descriptions for SEO and customer conversion

Analyzing performance metrics to refine copy strategies and improve customer engagement

Staying abreast of industry fashion trends


 

Key Qualifications: 

  • 6-8 years of experience in fashion and lifestyle ecommerce with a focus on product copy and content strategy

  • A degree in Literature, Journalism or Communications

  • Highly self-driven with a demonstrated sense of urgency to meet deadlines and achieve goals

  • A knack for solving problems creatively and efficiently

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas and collaborate with team members

  • High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all content produced

  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining flexibility to meet tight deadlines

Role Description: 

  • Write engaging and compelling product descriptions 

  • Maintain and adhere to style guides to ensure consistency in tone of voice and formatting across all product copy

  • Collaborate with US-based teams, sharing insights, updates, and initiatives

  • Oversee quality to ensure clarity, grammatical accuracy, and adherence to brand guidelines

  • Maintain a high standard of quality and consistency in all written content, reviewing errors consistently and providing constructive feedback to team members to ensure continuous improvement

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to copywriters
