As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Regulatory, Controls & Op Risk Technology (RCORT) as a part of Corporate Technology, you will play a crucial role in an agile team focused on enhancing, building, and delivering secure, stable, and scalable market-leading technology products. Your deep technical expertise and problem-solving skills will be vital in promoting substantial business impact by addressing diverse challenges across various technologies and applications. Corporate Technology manages global technology functions such as Legal, Compliance, Controls, Finance, Liquidity, Internal Audit, Risk, and Reference Data, with an emphasis on developing and executing a multi-year roadmap to create scalable infrastructure that supports business initiatives and enables the firm to effectively respond to external regulatory environments. Our Corporate Technology team relies on talented, motivated team members like you to improve efficiencies across our corporate functions. You will be part of a team specifically designed to meet and exceed our evolving technology needs and technology controls agenda. RCORT, as part of Corporate Technology, designs and develops business products to identify and manage JPMC's regulatory obligations and firm policies, ensuring a control environment that manages compliance and operational risks across all Lines of Business and Corporate Functions, as well as calculating Regulatory Capital and projecting Operational Risk Losses.

Job responsibilities
- Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
- Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
- Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
- Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
- Adds to the team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Knowledge in building applications from scratch and coming up with the architectural decisions
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced in one or more programming language(s) and front-end technologies: Java, Spring Boot, JPA, SQL, REST, Angular/React, TypeScript, CSS, HTML
- Good knowledge in databases like Oracle, PostgreSQL and S3
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- Good knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.) AWS
- Knowledge in Document Management tools is a plus.
