But the country is looking to change that and has stated it will ramp domestic manufacturing to become the leading aviation market over the next few decades. Top Aerospace Companies in Pune to Know

Founded in 1961, Bharat Forge is a multinational manufacturer of metal parts for a wide range of industries, including automotive, power, construction, marine and aerospace. According to the company, it has the “largest repository of metallurgical knowledge in the region” and offers its services to customers worldwide. 

 

Tata Advanced Systems, a division of Tata Group, develops aerospace defense solutions. The company aims to partner with government and other defense firms to develop products including uncrewed drones, surface-to-air missile systems and other defense products. 

 

Tii Techno Testing Instruments manufactures equipment for industries including aerospace, materials manufacturing, metal fabrication, automotive, structural and civil engineering, and oil and gas, among others. Founded in 2005, the company is headquartered in Pune in the Mariegold Building. 

 

Boeing is one of the largest aviation companies in existence with offices and manufacturing facilities in all around the world. The company is known for manufacturing commercial aircrafts used by many airline companies, and it’s also ventured into defense and sustainable plane manufacturing.

 

KBR is a global technology company with locations in North America, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. Serving world governments and private companies, the company develops solutions and technology for many sectors, including defense and space exploration. 

 

General Electric manufactures propulsion systems and aircraft engines through its GE Aerospace division. Besides manufacturing, GE Aerospace provides several other services like engine maintenance and product testing.

Aethrone Aerospace designs and manufactures support critical mission systems and material components for the aerospace and clean energy industries. The company says it offers products in four verticals: launch and recovery of UAVs, advanced composites for UAV and UAM, aerial rescue and delivery, and aerial robotics. 

 

AYAAN Autonomous Systems develops affordable, customizable drone systems for enterprises and government agencies. With products including SpyD-2, SpyD-4 and the AlRavat T Series, the company offers spraying and mapping, as well as emergency response deployment.

 

Pune-based Mahindra Aerospace, a subsidiary of Mahindra Group, is a producer of metallic parts for leading global aerospace majors. Its main facility is located in Bengaluru and holds AS9100 Rev D and NADCAP accreditations for delivering more than 120,000 parts every month to several continents.
