L&T and Thyssenkrupp Steering Plan to Launch Pune Software Hub

The new center will focus on embedded systems, functional safety and cybersecurity as the companies expand their work on intelligent and connected vehicle technologies.

L&T Technology Services and thyssenkrupp Steering are joining forces in a partnership that aims to open a new software development center in Pune. L&T will establish and manage the hub on behalf of thyssenkrupp Steering.

Thyssenkrupp Steering produces steering systems for more than 30 million vehicles annually. It’s also developing a vehicle motion control system to increase comfort, safety and autonomous driving through highly integrated steering, brakes, drivetrain and dampers.

L&T Technology Services is a software company that works to help its clients offer safer, smarter and more personalized user experiences. It serves companies in industries like industrial products, medical devices, transportation and telecom. The India-based company employs more than 24,000 people across its global offices, design centers and labs.

As the companies work to advance automotive software, the new center in Pune will serve as a hub for cutting-edge software development. Team members will focus on embedded systems, functional safety and cybersecurity to help meet growing demand for intelligent and connected vehicle solutions.
