Rapid7 to Expand Into India With New Facility in Pune

The cybersecurity company will open a global capacity center to better serve its worldwide customer base.

Rapid7, a company specializing in enterprise extended risk and threat detection technology, will expand its presence into India with a new office. The company announced plans to open a global capacity center in Pune that will serve as an innovation hub and security operations center.

Rapid7 works to help companies adapt to an evolving cyber threat landscape with its suite of comprehensive security solutions. Aiming to make cybersecurity simpler and more accessible, the company serves more than 11,000 organizations, enabling them to combine cloud risk management and threat detection to reduce their attack surfaces and eliminate threats.

The company’s new facility is slated to open in April 2025, allowing Rapid7 to provide constant security operations coverage to its global customer base. In hiring talent for its new office, the company plans to help build the local cybersecurity talent pipeline and foster AI collaborations with academic institutions. Rapid7 will focus on driving product and service innovation in cyber operations at its new facility. 

“Expanding into India is a critical step in accelerating Rapid7’s investments in security operations leadership and customer-centric innovation,” Corey Thomas, Rapid7’s chairman and CEO, said in a statement. “... this new hub strengthens our ability to deliver the most adaptive, predictive and responsive cybersecurity solutions to customers worldwide.”
