Suzuki Motor Corporation and Tata Elxsi opened a new center in Pune dedicated to automotive engineering and sustainability innovation.
The SUZUKI-TATA ELXSI Offshore Development Center is expected to support Suzuki’s green mobility vision. It will focus on development across areas ranging from lightweight design and eco-friendly materials to electric, hybrid and alternative fuel vehicle solutions, according to a news release.
Founded in Japan in the early twentieth century, Suzuki manufactures motorcycles, scooters, ATVs, cars and boat motors that are sold all over the world. Tata Elxsi is a Bengaluru-based company that provides businesses in the automotive industry and other sectors with design expertise and digital solutions.
“This strategic and long-term partnership incorporates Suzuki’s endeavor of minimizing energy and enables India’s talent to actively contribute to our development efforts globally,” Katsuhiro Kato, Suzuki’s chief technology officer, said in a statement.
