Tata Elxsi has announced the opening of its Bayer Development Center in Radiology in Pune, established in collaboration with biotech company Bayer, which builds radiology devices.

According to a news release, the new center will offer engineering support for Bayer’s radiology devices, with a particularly focus on molecular imaging. The work is expected to reduce time to market and cost, while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements through an integrated development approach.

Tata Elxsi says its experience, along with the strength of its India ecosystem, has already laid the foundation for continued regulatory partnerships and access to specialized technology talent, which will enhance Bayer’s ability to deliver radiology solutions across India and beyond.

“This center is more than an engineering hub — it is where Bayer’s radiology vision meets Tata Elxsi’s design, AI/ML and regulatory expertise. Our teams will work together to translate ideas into devices that address real-world diagnostic challenges, with the assurance of safety, compliance and global scalability,” Tata Elxsi’s Sreevatsa Sahasranaman said in a statement.
