Define product vision, pricing, positioning, business cases, and Agile execution while partnering with customers, engineering, marketing, sales, services, and domain experts. Translate heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid flow, and equipment design requirements into software capabilities. Drive customer adoption, innovation, competitive differentiation, strategic partnerships, and successful product launches across global industrial markets.

Lead a high-performing software engineering team developing scalable backend services for industrial automation and IoT. Provide technical direction, mentor developers, guide architecture, coordinate cross-functional work, estimate development efforts, perform automated testing, participate in agile ceremonies, conduct code reviews and pair programming, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery. The role requires hands-on development using C/C++ and/or Lua, along with expertise in software engineering fundamentals, operating systems, concurrency, databases, networking, and application security.

Leads consultative discovery, solution design, customer presentations, sales campaigns, and executive engagement for AspenTech solutions serving the Metals & Mining industry. Develops industry-specific value propositions, supports regional solution consultants, trains sales teams, informs product management, and represents the company at global trade shows. Requires extensive Metals & Mining software-sales experience, engineering knowledge, technical solution expertise, AI/ML awareness, and up to 50% global travel.

Lead and mentor software and quality engineers while developing high-performance C++ and Lua backend services for distributed industrial data and automation platforms. Responsibilities include architecture, system design, API development, cloud and edge integrations, technical decision-making, code reviews, automated testing, delivery planning, and building scalable, reliable software connecting industrial systems to cloud platforms.

Manage and resolve customer billing inquiries, process daily invoices, submit invoices via client portals, update Oracle service contracts and AR transactions, handle PO requests, generate training invoices, maintain customer special handling database, and support related projects and improvements.

Design, develop, maintain, and support data capabilities for Performance Engineering products. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to define requirements and specifications. Optimize database schemas and queries, evaluate and adopt new data technologies, and contribute technical leadership toward AspenTech's Asset Optimization strategy.
