The Admin Fees & Rebate Analyst will be a part of the Rebates Center of Excellence (CoE) team supporting the Rebates process based in GBS Pune. The incumbent will perform all activities related to rebate calculation and accrual and other related activities required for this role. The Rebates CoE team is a part of the GBS organization, responsible for managing the rebate process.

What will you be doing?

  • Accurately evaluate and interpret customer contracts related to administrative fees and rebates to ensure timely and accurate accrual calculations in accordance with contractual terms and conditions and submit results for accounting.
  • Perform accurate reconciliation and calculation of administrative fees and rebate payments; initiate payment requests and follow up proactively to ensure payments are completed in line with contractual obligations.
  • Ensure the timely preparation and delivery of all customer deliverables required by contract and regulation, including reconciliation statements, credit memos, and contract performance reports, and proactively identify and escalate any issues or challenges.
  • Reconcile accounts and clear accruals and payments to ensure end-to-end liability is accurately reflected, with customer-level balances aligned to general ledger accounts.
  • Maintain a strong customer focus and lead all aspects of assigned account responsibilities.
  • Participate in operational improvement initiatives and the development of new procedures to enhance internal and external customer support and contribute to special projects as needed.
  • Identify, analyse, and support resolution of disputed rebate claims and related data discrepancies.
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of S&N products and franchises to ensure accurate rebate adjudication.
  • Maintain systems, trackers, and logs to monitor contract status and rebate and administrative fee processing for review by senior analysts and management.
  • Demonstrate the ability to test and understand the functionality of mainframe, PC-based, and web-based applications, including the interdependencies between functional modules.
  • Responsible for adhering to all company and departmental policies and procedure
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving and decision-making abilities; including the ability to identify trends and problems
  • Highly motivated teammate, high level of initiative-taking & customer service focused attitude, and the ability to lead and empower others.

Location: Kharadi, Pune

Education: Graduate with B. Com / M. Com / CA Inter / ICWA / ICFAI / MBA, with a specialization in Finance or Accounting (Strictly from commerce background)

What will you need to be successful?

  •  Should have min 3-5 years of proven experience in the field of accounting, Account reconciliations, R2R, SOX compliance, Account clearing
  • Prior experience in the rebate process/calculation will be added advantage.
  • Prior experience in Rebates/ Chargeback process will be added advantage.
  • Should have a solid understanding of MS Office, Excel etc. Should have proven understanding of SAP or similar finance ERP.
  •  Ability to tackle practical problems and take care of a variety of concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  •  Ability to read and/or comprehend written and oral instructions. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
