The Administrative Assistant 3 follows established procedures and guidelines to provide timely and effective secretarial support to an office, business unit, department, or other organization. Answers telephones, screens calls, and takes messages so callers/visitors are attended to promptly, courteously, and accurately. The Administrative Assistant 3 performs advanced administrative/operational/customer support duties that require independent initiative and judgment. May apply intermediate mathematical skills.
The Administrative Assistant 3 must be a self-starter that identifies requirements, anticipates requests and takes initiative to mitigate needs. Transcribes, types, formats, and proofreads a variety of material (e.g., correspondence, meeting minutes, reports, presentations) using Microsoft Programs. Builds and manages relationships across Humana in support of the department objectives and the team. Typically works on semi-routine assignments.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Typing of correspondence, reports and presentations.
2. Compiling information for reports, presentations, etc.
3. Answering telephone and providing information to callers.
4. Maintaining appointment and travel schedules.
5. Composing routine correspondence.
6. Maintaining office files, official company records and executives’ administrative policies.
7. Organize high level meetings with Government, Sub-Contractors, and Field Associates

This will be a hybrid role - working some days at home and others in the office (the person(s) selected for hire should plan to work 2 days in the office). This will require candidates that live within a commutable distance to one of the following in-office locations:

1812 N Moore St, Arlington, VA.
Required Qualifications
- Our Department of Defense contract requires U.S. Citizenship for this role
- Experience with making travel arrangements, and managing expense reports
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint to include office suite of technology
- Ability to balance multiple initiatives and prioritize workload
- Ability to use multiple systems or software simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Capacity to maintain confidentiality
- Flexibility to support urgent business needs/request at minimum nights, weekends
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Experience with SharePoint and SharePoint creation
- Experience with onboarding new associates
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Notary
- Experience proof-reading/editing
- Experience with Expense reports and reviewing financial documents to align with company policy
- Data entry
- Corporate Savviness
