JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Software Engineer III - Legal Transformation, Operations & AI, you will design, develop, and support scalable software products, workflow automations, AI-enabled solutions, and data integrations that improve service delivery, simplify work, strengthen governance, and accelerate informed decision-making.

Working at the intersection of software engineering, artificial intelligence, data, automation, and cloud technologies, you will be part of the Legal Transformation and Operations team and deliver projects supporting Legal, Government Relations, HSEPS, and HGS. You will partner with functional stakeholders and technology teams to translate operational needs into practical, secure, and sustainable solutions.

This role is ideal for a hands-on software developer or engineer who enjoys solving complex business problems, building production-ready solutions, and improving user experiences. Prior familiarity or subject matter expertise in Legal, Government Relations, HSEPS, or HGS is not required. Success will depend on strong engineering capability, curiosity, and the ability to learn business processes while applying appropriate privacy, security, records, and responsible AI controls.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSoftware & Solution Development

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications, APIs, integrations, and automations that support transformation initiatives and business service delivery.
• Build scalable solutions that connect enterprise platforms, business systems, data sources, AI services, and cloud services.
• Translate business requirements and process pain points into maintainable technical designs, reusable components, and measurable outcomes.
• Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions, applying modern engineering, testing, documentation, and source-control practices.

Business Process & Digital Transformation

• Partner with functional leaders, process owners, product teams, and end users to map processes, identify friction, and prioritize high-value transformation opportunities.
• Develop standardized workflows and self-service capabilities that improve efficiency, consistency, compliance, and user experience.
• Modernize business capabilities through custom software, workflow automation, data integration, self-service tools, knowledge solutions, and reporting.
• Support adoption, change management, documentation, training, and continuous improvement for new and enhanced products and solutions.

AI Agent Engineering, Automation & Data

• Develop AI-powered applications, intelligent workflows, and agent-based solutions for approved enterprise use cases across the functions supported by the team.
• Build AI agents and multi-agent solutions using Python, large language models, agent frameworks, retrieval-augmented generation, vector databases, tool and function calling, and the Model Context Protocol.
• Create data integrations, reporting capabilities, and operational insights that support prioritization and decision-making.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and conduct proofs of concept using clear business value, risk, quality, and scalability criteria.

Governance, Risk & Responsible Technology

• Build solutions in alignment with enterprise architecture, privacy, cybersecurity, records retention, data governance, and responsible AI requirements.
• Incorporate role-based access, auditability, data handling, testing, monitoring, and other appropriate controls throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Partner with Legal, IT, Global Security, Privacy, Records, Compliance, and Risk stakeholders to support reviews, documentation, remediation, and approvals.
• Promote sustainable product ownership, clear operating procedures, and appropriate governance for software, data, automation, and AI solutions.

Cloud Engineering & DevOps

• Build cloud-based solutions using Azure and approved enterprise services, APIs, managed services, containerization, and serverless architectures where appropriate.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployment, release management, observability, and support practices.
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code and automation to improve consistency, reliability, and repeatability.
• Ensure solutions meet enterprise expectations for scalability, availability, performance, monitoring, and maintainability.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Work in cross-functional Agile teams and contribute to planning, backlog refinement, demonstrations, retrospectives, and delivery commitments.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to functional professionals, operations leaders, product owners, and technology partners.
• Create and maintain solution documentation, runbooks, standards, and knowledge-sharing materials.
• Demonstrate Honeywell behaviors, including Win Together, by building trusted partnerships across Legal, Government Relations, HSEPS, HGS, technology, and business teams.

YOU MUST HAVE

• 5+ years of professional software engineering or application development experience.
• Strong proficiency .Net Full Stack & Reach JS or Angular JS.
• Experience building and supporting enterprise applications, APIs, integrations, or workflow automation solutions.
• Hands-on experience building AI agents using Python and frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, or AutoGen.
• Experience developing LLM-enabled solutions using models such as GPT, Claude, or Gemini, including prompt engineering, RAG, tool calling, function calling, multi-agent systems, and MCP.
• Experience with vector databases or retrieval services such as PGvector, Snowflake, Azure AI Search, Pinecone, Weaviate, or Chroma; Azure AI Foundry or Azure OpenAI; API integration; evaluation and observability; and GitHub Actions for MLOps or LLMOps.
• Knowledge of Responsible AI and security practices for enterprise AI solutions.
• Experience with GitHub, source control management, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions and working with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile software development environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.

WE VALUE

• Experience taking AI-enabled products from proof of concept through production, including testing, evaluation, observability, deployment, and ongoing support.
• Experience with Azure cloud services, Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI, or enterprise integration technologies.
• Familiarity with GitHub Copilot or other AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, containerization, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Understanding of privacy, data governance, records retention, responsible AI, security, access controls, and auditability.
• Experience with process mapping, Lean or continuous improvement methods, product management, or change management.
• Experience delivering software or AI solutions in a global, matrixed enterprise environment. Domain experience in Legal, Government Relations, HSEPS, or HGS is welcome but not required.
