Analytics Manager

In this role, the Analytics Manager will lead our rapidly growing team in Pune, Costa Rica, KL and Poland. The reporting team would consist of technical experts in data visualisation, analytics and reporting. In this role, the individual would also be supporting in defining, delivering, and maintaining advanced Analytics capabilities to support decision-making and insights generation in Smith+Nephew through defining people, technology and process roadmap and its successful implementation. The incumbent would also provide people and functional leadership and oversight to the teams. The incumbent does that with a solid focus on continuous improvement. The Analytics Manager embraces and implements established analytics solutions developed by SNN Analytics Centre of Excellence (CoE) to deliver analytics solutions as dashboards or reports to business leaders to help them deliver their objective.

What will you be doing?

Manages a global analytics team in India.

• Supports and promote the development of the team.
• Strives for a high performing, successful and engaged team.
• Manages and guides team to align and work as per functional and organizations goals and objectives.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and on time delivery of agreed critical metrics.

Help drive projects following agile methodology and required project documentation.

• Help drive project using agile methodology
• Facilitate team in following agile and coach team members to follow the same.
• Ensure project execution meets all established documentation requirements.

Technically support team in project execution.

• Help team members in overcoming technical challenges in Power BI or similar visualization tools.
• Provide better and efficient approach to develop analytics solution.
• Drive discussions with business customers to propose analytics solutions.

Manage Business Stakeholders.

• Engage with business leaders or functional leaders to understand project requirements.
• Act as a bridge between business leaders and development team to facilitate project execution.

Contribute to continuous improvement and future roadmap development.

• Strive for bringing process efficiency in technical solution and project execution.
• Support Analytics CoE team in developing and planning future road map for Analytics team.
• Recommend standard processes or innovative ideas to improve teams operating model, projects execution.

• Other duties as assigned.

What will you need to be successful?

• A completed bachelor’s or master's degree or equivalent experience or equivalent in the field of Computer Science, Data Science & Innovation, Business Analytics or any other relevant studies.
• 5+ years of extensive Power BI standard & custom visual development, design, wireframing, Story boarding/ storytelling experience or 2+ years of experience in developing analytics solution as lead developer.
• Experience with Agile methodology using Azure DevOps or JIRA with preferred certification PSM1 or equivalent.
• Working SQL knowledge required.
• Strong knowledge of data analysis, modelling, report generation and warehousing/data stores concepts.
• Experience in updating and reporting status report
• Experience in handling business stakeholders.
• Licenses/ Certifications: PSM 1, Microsoft PL300.
• Strong Leadership and team-development skills in a global setting
• Expertise in efficient and successful collaborator management (maintaining good relationship with customers across different functions' ex: Finance, IT, HR etc.) at all organizational levels.
• Experience with GBS structures would be a big benefit.
• Able to make decisions independently regarding analytical tools & solutions while presenting options in a persuasive and structured way.
• Good communication and presentation skills (excellent command of the English language)
• Ability to translate business challenges into executable concepts to deliver responses using analytical solutions.
• Experience in project management.
• Knowledge of data transformation, data warehousing, and programming languages and tools (preferred)
• Analytical skills (problem-solving, business process analysis, process mapping).
• Experience working on global initiatives with colleagues of diverse cultures and expertise.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including solid capabilities with Excel and PowerPoint
