Provide technical support to field sales, distributors, and customers both remotely and in-person; generating tailored engineered judgments and job specific details utilizing sound engineering principles.
- Provide on-site field supervision to support testing, programs, and key customer projects.
- Develop installation drawings in Autocad, experience in Solidworks will be an added advantage.
- Assist in the design and evaluation of optimized Unifrax and customer specific systems.
- Coordinate product testing and system certification conducted at independent labs.
- Conduct training seminars for new salespersons, distributors, customers, and industry professionals.
- Assist Sales and marketing team promote the products to the end user with the technical background
- Attend industry meetings and participates in associations involved with the development of codes and standards that create demand for passive fire protection systems and Unifrax products.
- Assist Application Engineering Manager, Sales, & Marketing Director. as necessary with general analysis and special projects.
- Manages and initiates the creation of technical collateral to support the commercialization of new system introductions and existing business.
- Maintains knowledge of and monitors competitive system offerings.
- Develop basic presentation materials for educating customers on the use of lithium battery fire protection materials developed by Alkegen
- Maintain AE database and global AE team communication
- Obtains design form from customers or Sales Engineers to assist to complete application engineering requests
Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Ceramic Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in working 2D/3D design & drafting software.
- Typically, 3-5 years of relevant work experience in application engineering with some sales knowledge will be an added advantage.
- Experience in Refractories & Insulation will be an added advantage.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems.
- Experience in managing projects and delivering results within deadlines.
- Flexibility to adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
- Understanding and addressing customer needs in the development process.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
