About Team:
The Global Accounting and Product Services group (GAAPS) stands as a pivotal component of the Business Operations Group at BlackRock. Its duties encompass overseeing Institutional and Commingled fund accounting, managing Fund Board affairs, ensuring Portfolio & Regulatory Compliance, supervising Transfer Agent operations, and maintaining operational infrastructure for BlackRock's commingled funds (registered and unregistered). Furthermore, the teams provide assistance for Latin America Business Operations, strategic fund conversions, vendor supervision, and product lifecycle events.
The position is within the Technology and Development Operations (TDO) team in GAAPS COO, responsible for crafting technical solutions for workflow challenges in the organization. Understanding GAAPS functions is crucial for tackling these challenges effectively.

Experience supervising a team of Software Developers and leads giving technical mentorship and leadership.
Do you have:
BA/BS or equivalent experience in Computer Science from a recognized university
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
An ability to translate real business problems into technical solutions
A track record of nurturing positive relationships and forming trusted partnerships through open dialogue and continuous delivery
Proficiency and familiarity with software development life cycle principles like focusing on development through testing (TDD), structuring unit tests, using agile methodologies, and implementing CI/CD approaches.
Strong OO skills and build patterns knowledge and implementation experience using one or more object-oriented languages (e.g. Java, C/C++, Python)
Experience building enterprise-wide applications using JAVA-based frameworks like SPRING, HIBERNATE etc.
Familiarity with API Creation and RESTful services
Experience building UI components using the latest in web technologies (e.g. Angular, React) and languages (e.g. TypeScript)
Experience in building and engaging with relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Sybase)
Experience with the latest developments in LLMs and machine learning and finding opportunities to apply them to the organization’s business processes.

Our hybrid work model
