Summary: We are seeking a Senior Atlassian Engineer with deep hands-on experience in managing, customizing, and integrating Jira Data Center, Confluence Data Center, and Jira Align. The ideal candidate will lead the design and optimization of Atlassian tools to support agile teams at scale, with a strong focus on automation, performance, and enterprise-grade integration. Roles & Responsibilities: - Administer, configure, and optimize Jira Data Center, Confluence Data Center, and Jira Align for enterprise-scale use. - Perform system upgrades, plugin management, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and reliability. - Create, configure, and maintain Jira projects, custom workflows, issue types, fields, screens, permissions, and notifications. - Develop and manage custom automations and Groovy scripts using ScriptRunner, Automation for Jira, JSU Automations, and similar tools. - Design, implement, and maintain REST API-based integrations with third-party tools such as ServiceNow, GitLab, Salesforce, Jenkins, Copado, and cybersecurity platforms. - Collaborate with Agile CoEs, DevOps teams, project managers, and developers to align Atlassian tools with enterprise Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe). - Support Agile teams with setup and configuration of Scrum/Kanban boards, sprints, backlogs, and program-level reporting in Jira/Jira Align. - Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and filters tailored to stakeholders across multiple teams and portfolios. - Manage user access, roles, and permissions in compliance with organizational security policies. - Ensure data integrity, conduct regular audits, and manage system backups and recovery processes. - Provide training, documentation, and support for end-users and administrators. - Contribute to migration initiatives between Jira Data Center and Cloud environments. Professional & Technical Skills: - Expert-level administration of Jira Data Center and Confluence Data Center working knowledge of Jira Align and Jira Cloud. - Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and their implementation in Jira and Jira Align. - Proficiency in Jira Automation, JQL (Jira Query Language), and ScriptRunner/Groovy scripting for custom logic and workflow automation. - Hands-on experience with workflow post-functions, validators, conditions, and custom field configurations. - Solid grasp of REST APIs and integration design between Atlassian and non-Atlassian systems. - Experience in migrating, integrating, and scaling Atlassian tools across large enterprise environments. - Familiarity with add-ons such as Structure, Advanced Roadmaps (Plans), Rich Filters, and related marketplace apps. - Strong understanding of user management, permission schemes, project configurations, and performance monitoring in distributed systems. - Basic knowledge of SQL, JSON, and Python/Ansible scripting for reporting or automation tasks. - Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 5+ years of experience in relevant experience working on Atlassian product Jira , Jira Align & Confluence. - This position is based at our Mumbai office. - A 15 years full time education is required. - Willingness to work in shift B (11 to 9 or 12 to 10)
