Summary: As an Application Support Engineer, you will engage in a variety of tasks that involve identifying and resolving issues within critical business systems. Your typical day will include collaborating with team members to troubleshoot software problems, analyzing system performance, and ensuring the smooth operation of applications. You will also be responsible for documenting findings and solutions, contributing to the overall efficiency and reliability of the systems you support. Your role will require a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring that business operations run seamlessly. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems. - Assist in the development and implementation of system enhancements. - Monitor system performance and provide recommendations for improvements. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Cobol Mainframe. - Strong understanding of mainframe architecture and operations. - Experience with debugging and troubleshooting software applications. - Familiarity with database management systems and data manipulation. - Ability to work with version control systems and deployment processes. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Cobol Mainframe. - This position is based at our Pune office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
