Join our dynamic Markets Asset Servicing team as a Senior Associate and take charge of managing redemptions across our Fixed Income and Prime line of business. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the seamless and precise reconciliation of cash, stocks, wash, and other financial elements, driving operational excellence. Collaborate with a network of internal stakeholders, including trading desks, sales, finance, and operations teams, as well as forge strong partnerships with external entities such as clients, custodians, agents, depositories, and third-party service providers.
As a member of the Markets Asset Servicing Operations Income team, you would need to provide centralized asset servicing support across products. You will be required to support redemptions activities across FI and PRIME line of business across EMEA and WHEM markets.
As a Senior Associate within the Markets Asset Servicing team, you will be tasked with managing redemptions across the FI and Prime line of business. Your role will involve ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation of cash, stocks, wash, and other financial elements. You will work closely with internal stakeholders such as trading desks, sales, finance, and other operations teams, as well as external partners like clients, custodians, agents, depo, and 3rd party service providers. Your responsibility will also include executing goals and objectives set up to deliver core business deliverables.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure all pre-event reconciliation and pay date event processing related on Income events such as dividend, coupons and redemptions are completed in a timely manner.
- Perform oversight and ensure all cash breaks, wash breaks, suspense breaks and control account breaks are reconciled timely, match-off correctly and reduce or Nil accumulation of over 30 days aged items. Manage any potential system feed issues, late/incorrect investigation, follow-through till resolution.
- Ensure appropriate redemption calculations and settle with counterparty.
- Manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Key Process Indicators (KRIs) in a proactive way
- Effectively lead teams toward robust set of delivery milestones. Understand and mitigate risks, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies within the processes
- Communicate efficiently and effectively with Senior Management & escalate issues in a timely manner
- Perform periodic end to end process review, identify gaps if any & collaborate with control partners and relevant stakeholders to remediate process gaps
- Drive automation of new and existing processes using firm wide process transformation tools to enhance efficiency, reduce risk, improve controls, drive client experience
- Provide leadership - setting clear goals, strategies, and goals for the function
- Set expectations with direct reports where applicable, regarding positive motivation and leading through accountability
- Partner with respective BAU domain leads to execute growth and change plans including platform migration and people development and support daily operational tasks
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills :
- 6 years of relevant experience,Asset Servicing background covering either Income and Corporate action especially redemptions
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex operational issues
- Excellent judgment and decision-making skills; solutions oriented
- Problem solving skills - the candidate must demonstrate exceptional judgment and the ability to independently identify and escalate key issues, obtain appropriate information form further analysis, and develop actionable recommendations
- Teamwork skills - the candidate must be flexible in their work style and be able to work appropriately with stakeholders and colleagues at all level
