The Assistant Manager - Operations focuses on sourcing strategies for commodities, managing procurement requests, ensuring compliance and quality, and fostering vendor and stakeholder relationships for effective operations.
Description and Requirements
• The primary role of Sourcing TL is sourcing of commodities like IT, Facilities, Professional Services etc.
• Ensure that the assigned targets are met in accordance with SLA and Internal standards.
• Ensure that the quality of transaction is in compliance with predefined parameters
• Ensure adherence to established attendance schedules.
• Work with the internal customers to ensure their business requirements are driven using effective sourcing strategies while working with stake holders, internal departments and U.S. suppliers.
• Utilize U.S. market analysis to identify industry best practices and incorporate them into the sourcing strategy.
• Manage sourcing requests submitted through Zip and Ariba that meet all objective eligibility criteria, including Renewals, extensions, or amendments valued below $500K and Net-new engagements or commercial reviews below $100K (case dependent)
• Conduct sourcing review and processing of low-risk procurement activities within Zip and Ariba e.g. request details validation, review and supporting documentation validation e.g. SOW, order forms, validation of commercial alignment with existing Master agreement, prior SOWs or established benchmarks
• Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination e.g. obtain missing, incomplete or correct documents and act as a primary point of contact between vendors and internal stakeholders
• Commercial Review & Negotiation e.g. ensuring pricing consistency with historical rates or benchmark data Risk Identification & Escalation
• Identify and escalate risks to the Procurement Partner Lead e.g. non-standard pricing structures, commercial terms etc
• Pre-Contracting & Close-Out Activities e.g. ACR submission, Sourcing savings documentation in Zip, upload of executed contracts
• Communication, Documentation & Audit Readiness
• Implement programs to shift demand to new suppliers and/or new processes.
• Identify sourcing opportunities through use of reporting tools and leveraging internal customer relationships.
Any other essential function that may occur from time to time as directed by the Supervisor.
