DESCRIPTION:
Join our collaborative team as a Channel Manager II and contribute to Thermo Fisher Scientific's success through strategic distributor partnerships. In this position, you'll develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets while building and maintaining strong relationships with channel partners. You'll apply your expertise to optimize routes to market, support partner-led sales activities, and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction across our innovative product portfolio.
Working with cross-functional teams, you'll analyze market trends, identify growth opportunities, and implement strategic initiatives to expand our market presence. You'll be responsible for supporting and developing distributor teams, managing inventory levels, and ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping our customers advance scientific discovery and improve healthcare outcomes.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Master's degree plus 8-10 years of experience in sales and channel management, preferably in life sciences or scientific equipment industry
• Preferred Fields of Study: Chemistry, Life Sciences, Biology, or related scientific field
• Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and growing market share through distributor networks
• Strong technical aptitude with ability to understand and communicate complex product applications
• Excellence in relationship building and maintaining partnerships with distributors and key stakeholders
• Proficiency in CRM systems (particularly Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills
• Analytical mindset with ability to develop strategic business plans and quantitative reports
• Well-organized with effective time management abilities
• Willingness to travel 20-30% of time within assigned territory
• Fluency in English required; additional language skills may be considered
• Experience in medical devices, laboratory equipment, or analytical instruments preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization
• Strong problem-solving skills and customer-focused mindset
