About the Team:
Client Integration Investran Onboarding is a specialized team made up of professionals who are subject matter experts and are consistently being consulted with matters related to fund structures and the related system setup, accounting methodology and other onboarding matters of Private Equity clients. The team takes the lead in onboarding new Private Equity clients onto Citco technology platforms to build a foundation for the Fund Accounting / Operations team. AVP is expected to develop expertise in all aspects of the onboarding process, as well as participate in firm-wide initiatives and industry thought leadership.
ResponsibilitiesYour Role:
- The role of Private Equity Conversion AVP involves new private equity client’s business launches/conversions, organic growth launches, project management, sales support and process improvements.
- Onboard PE clients to Citco technology platform.
- Review fund legal documents and fund structures setups in the system for new and existing clients.
- Implement data migration, which includes:
- Detailed analysis to capture data points required for client reporting
- Chart of accounts mapping
- Data preparation/review and upload to the system. Also, executing system automations to facilitate subsequent closings and partner transfers, as needed.
- Prepare various reconciliation with published financial statements and investor statements.
- Facilitate discussions with internal and external stakeholders to resolve reconciling differences, if any.
- Lead data migration between internal systems, client/third party systems, process identification, review, COA mapping, and custom solutions.
- Demonstrate ownership of assigned work and ensure timely completion.
- Proactively address issues when encountered, and communicate outcome to all parties involved in a timely manner.
- Contribute to development and testing of Citco’s technology platforms.
- Participate in firm-wide initiatives and industry thought leadership.
- Develop into a subject matter expert on Citco’s systems and implementation processes.
- The role is part of a global conversion team and may be required to support multiple time zones during large projects.
- The AVP must demonstrate leadership skills in coaching, motivating team members and dealing with client and counterparts.
- Participate and lead Proof of Concept, Request for proposal/information assistance.
- Draft task performance procedures and/or operational memorandum.
- Build out sample data for client pitches and demonstrations.
Qualifications
About You:
- The candidate must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in either of the following or related fields: Accounting, Finance, Mathematics or Economics; CPA or CFA preferred.
- 3+ years’ experience in managing a team of accountants, senior analysts and supervisors.
- 7 - 9 years of Private Equity experience is preferred.
- Experience in servicing clients in the asset management industry is a plus.
- Strong project management skills with a high attention to details required.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability of work product.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle several projects and different stakeholders simultaneously and prioritize work based on deadlines.
- Dedication to teamwork and leadership.
- Proficiency knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
