JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

You’ll be joining our Astro Young Talent Programme  (AYTP) under the Creative stream. AYTP is an 18-months stream-based rotation programme that enable you to contribute to Astro’s vision of reinventing entertainment by bringing better content & products while deepening our relationship with customers. This stream is for creative folks that are interested to learn the various aspects of content ranging from hands-on ideation and production to business development, strategy and distribution, collaborating with content creators, producers and streaming partners while working with Malaysia’s top on and off-screen talents with the purpose of delivering captivating content that will shape the minds of Malaysians.

REQUIREMENTS:

What you will be doing?

  • You will be placed in multiple rotations spanning across Astro’s key areas of business, predominantly within Content, Radio, Awani and Product function in which we will align with your career aspiration
  • You will be given responsibility to drive impactful tasks and projects with opportunity to collaborate across Astro
  • Goals and KPIs will be curated in each of your rotation depending on the learning plan and tasks that you have been assigned to. These KPIs may be adjusted and amended from time to time depending on the needs and align with the Company’s imperatives.
  • You will learn about the function of the key division and understand how functions and workflows are connected in a media and entertainment business like Astro
  • Apart from your day-to-day work, you will have the opportunity to involve in internal events where you internalise our core values of being Creative, Inclusive and Accountable

Who you are?

  • Fresh graduates in following disciplines or graduates with less than one year working experience on full time basis
  • Possess a degree (Bachelors/Masters) in creative fields/business/commerce or any relevant fields with strong passion in the entertainment and music industry​
  • Second Class Upper (CGPA 3.2) and above, or its equivalent​
  • Brilliant interpersonal and communication skills​
  • Imaginative, playful, have a wealth of ideas and ability to find connections between seemingly disparate phenomena​
  • Agile, quick in adapting to changes and having fun working under pressure
  • Being driven by progress, passionate to drive new initiatives and genuinely collaborating with others to make it happen.
  • Looking for every opportunity to influence people around you and change our culture through them.
  • Enjoy writing in everyday language and finding ways of making complex concepts simple
  • A mindset that embraces curiosity and learning of all kinds and is open to being wrong and failing in the pursuit of learning.
  • Demonstrate a natural inclination toward understanding and prioritizing audience needs 
  • Show early potential in project or task management, especially those who have taken on leadership roles in academic, extracurricular, or volunteer settings.  
  • We’re evidence based, not opinion based. So, you’ll be doing lots of quantitative and qualitative research that helps shape what we know about the customers or stakeholder groups.
