Overview:
Within the FP&A group, BlackRock is seeking an Associate to join the Finance Information & Analytics (FI&A) Team. The FI&A team operates with a Center of Excellence (CoE) model and is responsible for efficient, thoughtful, and scalable production to meet operational excellence, deliver high-value business insights through front-end visualization tools, application of modelling and analytics to generate new insights at scale, engage with technology partners to accelerate data and process transformation.
Team is actively involved in firm wide Revenue forecasting and budgeting process, production of ARMR/Actuals which is key source of information for Management reporting purposes. Team produces information that helps articulate BlackRock’s vision and message to investors, clients and press, as well as providing quantitative and qualitative support for senior management decisions.
The team is also responsible for the external and internal reporting of BlackRock’s AUM, Net New Business, Revenue and related analytics. On a weekly basis the team calculates AUM and NNBF, enriches it with pipeline, revenue and client commentary, and provides informative reports to senior management.
The Finance Information & Analytics team is committed to performance excellence, the continuous optimization of its operating and production model and the rapid advancement of its strategic and tactical initiatives.
Job Summary:
The FI&A team is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual responsible for managing multibillion base fee revenue and AUM driven expense forecast for firm and various businesses.
Individual will play crucial role in driving financial performance analysis, budgeting, forecasting and relevant projects support. The role requires hands on experience in executing the forecast and budgeting activities with strong modelling and analytical capabilities.
This high-impact role demands a visionary with deep financial acumen, exceptional modeling expertise, storytelling through presentations and a proven ability to lead through complexity.
Responsibilities:
Execute firm level forecasting model, reporting and analysis for Base fee revenue and AUM driven expenses
Perform business level revenue & expense forecast including forecast production, variance analysis and insights to support CFO and senior leadership reporting
Establish and monitor key performance indicators like NNB, Markets/FX and Realization to evaluate the business performance
Build dynamic, scalable models and proactively challenge existing methodologies and suggest approach to align with the actuals calculation.
Collaborate cross-functionally with business partners, controllers, and FP&A teams to gather inputs and integrate them into forecast and budget frameworks.
Develop a strong understanding of BlackRock’s revenue lifecycle, including accounting treatments, pricing structures, and revenue lash-ups.
Conduct detailed actuals vs. forecast variance analysis at the firm level, identifying key drivers and delivering actionable insights.
Support the implementation of best practices and automation initiatives to streamline forecasting and reporting processes.
Communicate financial results, trends, and forecasts clearly and effectively through presentations
Act as SME on Management reporting views and output, can handle queries from different partners such as CFO and Business FP&A, Controllers and business partners
Partner in the development of appropriate metrics and control framework to better manage and report AUM, flows and Revenue information

Skills and Qualifications:
MBA/CA with minimum 5-6 years of experience with a similar profile, preferably Investment Management and/or financial industry experience but not mandatory
Understanding and/or experience in Finance, Accounting, Financial Reporting, Operations and Data mining
Analytical, innovative, and organized with excellent attention to detail and commitment to excellence
Process minded with great focus on controls and risk mitigation by applying a methodical & organized approach
Ability to work through challenging deadlines
Strong teammate with excellent interpersonal skills
Dedicated, enthusiastic, and intellectually curious
Strong understanding of the investment processes across various product structures
Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities – ability to interact with all levels
Strong prioritization and influencing skills and ability to manage differing requirements from multiple ‘clients’
Ability and/or experience in developing strong partnerships with other business areas locally and globally
Proficient with Microsoft Excel
Power BI is a plus and experience with TM1 or other multi-dimensional tools is a plus
