About Quantitative Analytics Engineering

The Investments and Trading Engineering (ITE) team builds and delivers Aladdin's industry-leading risk management, portfolio management, compliance and trading capabilities. Within ITE, Quantitative Analytics Engineering (QAE) is a global team of quantitative developers responsible for the implementation of security valuation, portfolio risk, liquidity and performance attribution models. BlackRock Portfolio managers and external Aladdin clients such as pension funds and insurance companies rely on models maintained by QAE to identify investment opportunities, build portfolios and manage risk
About the role
We invite motivated professionals to join QAE India as Associate – Financial Model Engineer, contributing to the development and enhancement of our single security analytics and modeling engine for Private Markets, supporting products such as Private Credit and Asset-Backed Financing.
As part of a high performing team, you will focus on building and maintaining analytics and models that power valuation and risk management for private market products. You will work closely with quantitative researchers and product managers to implement robust, scalable solutions that meet evolving business needs.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain analytics and modeling components for private credit and asset-backed financing products.
Collaborate with quantitative researchers to implement pricing and cashflow models.
Work with senior engineers to design modular, scalable architecture for analytics services.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Engage with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including automation and performance optimization.

Security Analytics Infrastructure (SAI) is an established team of QAE with presence in Gurgaon, Mumbai, Budapest and New York.
We develop scalable, high throughput, low latency analytical software for valuation of fixed income, Equity and FX Derivative and Structured products.

Requirements
You should have
Experience in enterprise software development: at least 3-5 years of hands-on experience.
Strong programming skills in C++17 or later.
Familiarity with Design Patterns
Familiarity with Python or scripting languages (bash, PowerShell).
Understanding of software development tools (version control, test frameworks) and Continuous Integration.
Ability to work collaboratively in an agile team environment.
Nice to have:
Experience with C++ development tools (CMake, CLion).
Knowledge of messaging systems (MQ, Kafka) and serialization (Google Protocol Buffers).
Familiarity with Unix systems (Red Hat, Ubuntu) and profiling tools (gprof, valgrind).
Awareness of DevOps tools (Azure DevOps).
Basic understanding of finance and fixed income asset types (training will be provided).
