The Centre of Excellence Legal Team is the multi-disciplinary legal team supporting all lines of business including Consumer and Community Banking, Commercial and Investment Banking and Asset and Wealth Management across 'Global Legal Teams'. The Team functions as the central unit tasked with working on high-volume assignments, providing support to multiple legal teams facing challenges in resource management, particularly pertaining to their non-routine or ad-hoc requirements. The successful candidate must have strong legal analytical and collaborative skills, be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within the team and be a true \"self-starter\".

Job Responsibilities
- Provide legal analysis and support on legal projects and documentation;
- Collaborate and support large volume deals or remediation projects;
- Design and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency;
- Conduct gap analysis and summarize deviations in negotiated agreements from standardized templates or against playbooks and policy manuals to identify discrepancies, escalation mechanisms and managing remediation exercises;
- Review legal documents, provide gap analysis and similar legal support to the Global Legal Teams (Strong technical knowledge in contracts is essential with strong attention to detail); and
- Identifying opportunities suitable for automation and work in tandem with the respective technology teams to provide solutions.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Law degree from a premier law school in India;
- 1+ Years post-qualification legal experience;
- Attention to detail with strong legal analytical skills;
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to interact with senior business personnel and stakeholders in other functions;
- Proficiency with technology and documentation management systems
- Strong teamwork and ownership of tasks;
- Ability to identify and escalate issues timely and appropriately; and
- Comfortable working with metrics and data.
