JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• To plan, deliver and deploy OTT and content delivery, new advance video technology and platform enhancement, functionality & infrastructure to launch new products and services as well as to apply OTT, compression system and multicast network engineering principles and techniques to support and provide solutions for business’s requirement and resolving complex system issues that affect critical operational functions and systems availability.
• To be fully independent and capable to provide system configuration and work with all related stakeholders as well providing guidance to the support team
• To also support the backend system and all cloud related configurations.
• Support of the following key business critical systems:
• CDN
• AWS Components
• Cloud playout platform
• Multicast Network planning for compression & OTT platform
• Advertising System
• DRM technologies and integration with cloud related.
• Content Delivery and networking
• Networking which involves Direct Connect and etc.
• Subtitling System
• Advanced Video Encoding on multilevel platform

Project Implementation / Support/ Backend and all related task

• Strong knowledge in all cloud related and workflow component related.
• To analyse, recommend and implement changes to improve the OTT & multicast network. 
• To provide or recommend technical system solutions based on the business’ requirement.
• To be responsible to complete projects within timeline, budget and objectives set forth for these projects, which cover testing and confirming compatibility and integration with existing broadcast systems, to maintain optimal workflows including review of adoption plans, system/application design, and redundancy & monitoring solutions.
• Collaborate with system user/operator to define project delivery, timeline and determine system design. · Oversee installation of a system to meet agreed performance standard. Participate in testing and commissioning
• Review products design for compliance adherence to standard and propose products/ systems. · Facilitate in system procurement (calling tenders, system evaluation and selection), system design review, logistics co-ordination, system testing/commissioning, documentation, training, and handover.
• Coordinate, manage and track all activities impacting system implementation including system procurement, design review, logistics, communications (with all related parties during projects), system testing & commissioning, documentation, training, and handover for operations.
• Evaluate and propose existing/new technological solutions to improve service quality and performance level · Research, evaluate, propose, and facilitate the procurement of appropriate and cost-effective system solution for emerging business requirement

System/ Process / New Technologies

• To be able to setup the AWS CDN and all config related
• Independently able to setup all cloud config
• Perform dashboard monitoring and recommendation based on all the data captured
• Creative and innovative to resolve complex system issues and provide work around solutions to fix issues within stipulated KPIs and provide strategic technical planning to enhance resilience of system infrastructure in ensuring continuous on-air and broadcast system availability.
• To have in depth understanding of the OTT, content delivery infrastructure and multicast network to provide advice and solutions on the area which has the dependency on the platform, such as integration of OTT platform, compression system and multicast network. 
• Research and new technology/equipment/systems and engage with the vendors on enhancements and recommend upgrades to improve system/network efficiency.
• To coordinate/produce/ making sure all documentation related to a specific config, SOP and etc. is adhere.
• Explore ways to always improvise the delivery method for OTT and CDN deployment.
• Co-ordinate the review deployment and commissioning on all system related.

Training / Guidance

• Engage with other unit Senior Engineers on major technical and operational issues to ensure issues are resolved to maintain the transmission/system availability.
• To train and provide the technical guidance to the specialized engineering support team.

Dual role for Support

• Able to proactively be in dual role such as Project and Support

Self Development & Innovation

• Acquire new technical knowledge and develop technical competencies in line with emerging technology by attending technology forums, trade shows and read broadcast journals.
• Develop technical skills and competencies to handle newly introduced operational systems that.
• Attend trainings to enhance soft skills.

REQUIREMENTS:

WHO YOU ARE:

• Degree in IT/Computer/Communication/ Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Diploma in the similar fields as listed above with minimum 2 to 3 years of working experience.
• Computer literate and good knowledge on Windows, Microsoft Office.
• Ability to understand and review technical drawings, e.g. Visio, AutoCAD
• Good oral/written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Knowledge in integrated system specifically in broadcast industry.
• Knowledge in cloud services e.g. AWS or Akamai
• Good understanding on networking protocols.
• Capable of working independently and a good team player.
• Able to operate under high pressure condition.
• Knowledge for network infrastructure and perform basic troubleshooting
• Knowledge on OTT, Video and Cloud Technologies
