As an Investor Support- Platform and Data Management Operations within JP Morgan Chase's 55ip Asset & Wealth Management Technology, you own and execute day-to-day client reporting operations, with primary responsibility for Client Performance Reporting (CPR) and Tax Savings Reporting (TSR). The role will ensure reporting outputs are accurate, complete, timely, and supported by a strong control environment. You will investigate data and reporting issues, coordinate resolution across Technology, Product, Operations, vendors, and client-facing teams, and use SQL, business intelligence, automation, and AI tools to improve quality and scalability. The role will also provide cross-functional support for other Platform Management processes, including Model Management, to strengthen business continuity.
Job Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end execution of client reporting and related platform operational processes, ensuring deliverables are accurate, complete, timely, and delivered within agreed service levels.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, quality assurance reviews, and operational oversight activities while maintaining a strong control environment through documented procedures, governance artifacts, and audit-ready records.
- Investigate reporting exceptions, data quality issues, and stakeholder inquiries by gathering context, analyzing data, coordinating stakeholders, and driving actions through resolution.
- Utilize SQL, analytical tools, and business intelligence platforms to support reporting validation, issue investigation, operational oversight, decision-making, and management reporting.
- Build and maintain operational metrics, dashboards, and management information to monitor performance, trends, risks, capacity, service levels, and recurring issues.
- Identify process improvement, standardization, and automation opportunities using BI tools, Python, AI-enabled solutions, and workflow technologies to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability.
- Conduct root-cause analysis, risk assessments, and remediation activities to strengthen controls, mitigate operational risks, and reduce recurring issues.
- Partner with Product, Technology, Application Support, Quality Assurance, Operations, vendors, and business stakeholders to support platform enhancements, testing, production readiness, and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure business-impacting changes are appropriately assessed, tested, documented, communicated, and successfully transitioned into business-as-usual processes.
- Maintain SOPs, process documentation, operational trackers, control frameworks, and knowledge-management materials to support operational excellence and business continuity.
- Provide cross-functional support across broader Platform Management activities, including Model Management and other operational workflows as business needs evolve.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- 8+ years of experience in investment management, wealth management, financial services operations, client reporting, performance reporting, data operations, or a similar control-focused environment.
- Formal training or certification on data analytics concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
- Proven experience managing operational workflows and delivering accurate, time-sensitive outputs within defined controls and service-level expectations.
- Strong SQL, data analysis, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate, reconcile, and interpret complex datasets.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence and visualization platforms.
- Strong analytical, root-cause investigation, and operational risk management capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage business and technology stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a disciplined approach to governance, controls, documentation, and operational oversight.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, drive execution, and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Experience with workflow automation, Python, AI-enabled productivity tools, or other technologies that improve operational efficiency and scalability.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Understanding of investment performance reporting, portfolio accounting concepts, benchmarks, holdings, transactions, and related reporting controls.
- Experience supporting client reporting, investment operations, or other client-facing operational processes.
- Experience with data warehouses, ETL processes, reporting automation, and business intelligence platforms.
- Familiarity with Model Management, portfolio implementation, or investment platform operations.
- Experience supporting platform enhancements, user acceptance testing, change management, process migration, or production readiness activities.
- Experience partnering with Product, Technology, Operations, external vendors, and accounting service providers.
