Role Overview:
Trellix seeks highly motivated and passionate SDETs to contribute to its ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) product line. The team serves as the final quality assurance checkpoint prior to customer release. Responsibilities encompass a wide range of testing activities, including manual and automated testing (with an emphasis on automation development), non-functional testing (performance, stress, soak), solution testing, and security testing, among others. This role involves engagement with cutting-edge technologies.About the role:
The SDET role is open to candidates wishing to build organizational and product knowledge.
Execute new feature and regression cases manually as necessary for product releases.
Identify and communicate critical issues effectively and promptly.
Proficiency with bug tracking platforms such as JIRA is beneficial. Effective defect reporting, including comprehensive details to minimize iterative communication and facilitate prompt resolution, is an essential attribute for this position.
Identify automatable test cases, prioritizing those with high return on investment over low-impact areas to enhance testing efficiency.
Hands-on experience with automation programming languages such as Java is advantageous.
Execute, monitor, and debug automation runs.
Develop automation code utilizing the PlayWright automation framework to improve comprehensive coverage.
Demonstrate a willingness to explore and expand understanding of Cloud/On-prem infrastructure.
Participate in the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security requirements into systems and processes.
Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
About you:
0-3 years of experience in a SDET role with a relevant degree in Computer Science or Information Technology is required.
Show ability to quickly learn a product or concept, viz., its feature set, capabilities, functionality and nitty-gritty.
Solid fundamentals in any programming language (preferably JAVA) and OOPS concepts.
RESTful API testing using tools such as Postman or similar is desired.
Familiarity and exposure to AWS and its offerings, such as, S3, EC2, EBS, EKS, IAM, etc., is advantageous.
Hands-on with non-functional testing, such as, performance and load, is desirable. Exposure to Locust or JMeter tools will be an added advantage.
You should have an understanding of basic cybersecurity principles and concepts.
You should be familiar with networking protocols, operating systems, and cloud technologies.
You should know common security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus software).
