Assurance, Controls and Compliance IT Specialist (Pune, India)“Life Unlimited” At Smith+Nephew. We design and Manufacture technology that takes the limits off living.The IT Financial Controls & Compliance Specialist works in the Financial Controls & Compliance Group (“FC&CG”) and reports to the FC&CG IT Manager. The role requires a strong knowledge of IT control frameworks for governing, managing, designing, testing and remediation of IT controls with a specific focus on verification of design and operating effectiveness of IT controls related to Sarbanes Oxley including managing and coordination of automated/semi-automated control testing relevant to SOX applications.What will you be doing?IT Controls verification of design and operational effectiveness – monitoring of existing controls to ensure they are properly designed/operated effectively by performing Independent Management Testing to an agreed plan.Ensuring all control failures identified both internally and externally are substantiated with proper risk assessment and remediation plan; including coordination of corrective action implementation.Identification of opportunities for improvements in the control framework in line with risk/benefit.Review SOC reports with IT process owners and reporting any exceptionsSupport and adhere to all FC&CG policies, procedures and standards, including but not limited to Internal and External Compliance such as Health & Safety, Quality, Regulatory and Finance, and support of Internal and External Audits.Support and work effectively with others, internally and externally, to achieve common goals and objectives. Using appropriate methods and a flexible interpersonal style to help with the completion of team goals.What will you need to be Successful?

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Finance with equivalent combination of training and experience in IT controls areas.
• CISA / CRISC certified or other related certification highly recommended.
• Must be fluent in English, reading, writing, speaking.
• Decision making - obtains information and identifies key issues and relationships relevant to specific goals; commits to a course of action to accomplish goals after developing alternatives based on logical assumptions, facts, available resources, constraints, and organizational values.
• Escalates decisions to next level where resolution cannot be found building working relationships.
