AWS Ops Lead
Job Title: AWS Ops Lead with ITSM and ITIL
Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated AWS Ops Lead with expertise in IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) best practices to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS cloud services, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of ITSM and ITIL principles. As an AWS Ops Lead, you will be responsible for managing our AWS infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, security, and scalability. You will also play a key role in implementing and optimizing ITSM and ITIL processes within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
AWS Infrastructure Management: Manage and optimize AWS cloud resources to ensure high availability, security, and performance.
Monitor AWS services and proactively address issues to minimize downtime and disruptions.
Implement best practices for AWS security and compliance.
IT Service Management (ITSM): Implement and oversee ITSM processes to streamline service delivery and support.
Lead incident, problem, change, and release management activities.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve service issues and improve service quality.
IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Implementation: Implement ITIL best practices for service strategy, design, transition, operation, and continual service improvement.
Develop and maintain ITIL processes and documentation.
Conduct regular ITIL process assessments and recommend improvements.
Team Leadership: Lead a team of AWS Operations and ITSM/ITIL professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and support.
Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into effective AWS solutions and ITSM/ITIL processes.
Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing updates on project statuses, issues, and resolutions.
Skills:
Proven experience managing AWS infrastructure in enterprise environments.
Strong understanding of ITSM and ITIL principles and their practical application.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
ITIL Foundation certification or higher and AWS Certified or equivalent certification.
