Role Overview:
We’re looking for a BI Engineer to help design and build next-generation data pipelines, modeling frameworks, and dashboards that power insights across our AI-driven platform. You’ll work with advanced SQL, data ingestion pipelines, DBT, Airflow, APIs, and cloud DWH architecture. Security and governance are important, but we approach them differently – embedding them into processes rather than slowing innovation.
What You’ll Do:
Build & Maintain the Platform
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines to ingest, transform, and model data from multiple sources.
- Build and optimize advanced SQL queries for analytics and reporting.
- Develop data models, warehouse schemas, and transformations using DBT and other tools.
- Orchestrate workflows and pipelines with Airflow.
- Integrate APIs to pull in and push out data for analytics and operational workflows.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and analytics teams to deliver actionable insights.
- Implement innovative approaches to data security and governance, enabling fast AI-driven decision-making without compromising compliance.
- Contribute to building and scaling a cloud data warehouse optimized for AI workloads.
Deliver Business Insights
- Coordinate with the business to identify our most pressing business questions, and translate these questions into metrics & technical specifications.
- Design & maintain the Firebolt business intelligence platform (Firebolt datawharehouse, Present.io).
- Create & maintain dashboards, visualizations & reports for regular topics & requested projects.
- Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
- Partner closely with the business to build & maintain the Firebolt data dictionary and data catalog.
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years in BI engineering, analytics engineering, or data engineering roles.
- Expertise in advanced SQL, data ingestion, modeling, and transformation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with DBT, Airflow, and API integrations. Familiarity with Preset.io or Apache Superset a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud-based DWH platforms and modern data architecture.
- Strong understanding of data security, governance, and privacy – applied in creative, efficient ways.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and translate complex business needs into data solutions.

The pay range listed below reflects the base salary for this role. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible to participate in our commission plan and stock option program, forming part of the total on-target earnings (OTE).
As part of our compensation philosophy, total compensation is tailored to each candidate and influenced by factors such as job-related skills, level of experience, relevant certifications, and geographic location.
- Base Salary Range: ₹40 LPA – ₹60 LPA
- Commission Plan: Eligible to participate in the company’s commission plan; base salary typically represents approximately 90% of the total on-target earnings (OTE)
- Equity: Incentive Stock Options (ISOs), subject to a four-year vesting schedule with a one-year cliff
The actual compensation package will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and geographic location and may vary within the stated range.
