What will you do?
● Execute daily operational tasks including but not limited to, executing python scripts, data integrations on all the environments.
● Data analysis of variants
● Automate processes for analyzing and managing biological data
● Development of python module for data processing as per our best practices and quality standards.
● Communicate across the cross-functional teams with process updates
● Collaborate effectively with research scientists and software engineers to solve bioinformatics problems
● Documentation on the processes and workflows
● Ensure compliance with our SDLC process during development and operations
What do you bring to the table?
● Master’s degree in bioinformatics with 3+ years of relevant experience
● Solid understanding of biological concepts w.r.t genomics and proteomics
● Expertise in bioinformatics file formats such as VCF
● Should have expert knowledge for public domain databases such as COSMIC, CLINVAR, dbSNP and knowledge of NCBI, Ensembl, UCSC datasets.
● Good understanding in the bioinformatics tools such as IGV, BLAST, BLAT, TransVar
● Good experience at working with Linux and windows systems
● Good at python development and trouble shooting
● Good experience with mongoDB(NoSQL) and PostGreSQL(RDBMS)
● Good to have knowledge of version controlling systems such as git
● Good to have knowledge of AWS clous services
● Good to have knowledge of HGVS nomenclature
● Strong verbal and written communication skills
● Self-driven and highly motivated
● High energy and inquisitive and strong attention to detail
