Wilhelmsen Port Services is seeking a Business Analysis and QA Lead in our Chennai Office.
In Wilhelmsen Port Services (WPS), we provide our customers with peace of mind while we handle their cargo, their vessels and their crew. We handle 75,000 port calls per year, which means that every 7 minutes, anywhere around the world, we send a ship safely out to sea again to fulfil its purpose. Who you are:
You will be a detail-oriented professional experienced in business analysis and quality assurance. You will collaborate effectively with development, design, and testing teams to ensure solutions meet business needs and high standards.
Skilled in clarifying requirements, writing user stories, and managing the testing lifecycle, you ensure thorough coverage and resolve defects efficiently.
You will independently oversee key modules from requirements to release readiness, and mentor the testing team with functional and quality leadership. You will drive continuous improvement and reliable results at Wilhelmsen Port Services.
The Business Analysis and QA Lead will report to the Enterprise Solution Architect.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work closely with development, design, and testing teams to ensure solutions meet business intent and quality expectations.
- Own the end-to-end testing lifecycle, from requirements validation through production deployment.
- Define and enforce testing strategies, standards, quality gates, and sign-off criteria.
- Own defect and bug management, including logging, triage, prioritisation, tracking, and closure
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage across functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
- Write and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
- Clarify functional requirements and expected system behaviour for development teams.
- Independently own selected modules or functional areas end-to-end, from requirements through testing and release readiness.
- Mentor and guide the testing team, providing functional and quality leadership.
- Collaborate closely with the Platform and Delivery Lead to ensure build-to-run readiness and functional handover.
- Ensure traceability across requirements, test cases, defects, and releases.
Qualification, Experience and Skills
- 15+ years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, and business analysis roles
- Strong experience working on complex, custom-built Salesforce enterprise applications
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce platforms, including custom development applications using Apex, Flows, LWC, and integrations
- Proven experience delivering solutions in large-scale enterprise environments
- Demonstrated experience working in or supporting Maritime / Shipping / Logistics domains
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery, SDLC, and test lifecycle management
- Proven ability to work independently, own outcomes, and act as a functional authority
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills

- Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder
- Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant
- ISTQB® Foundation or Advanced
- Agile / Scrum certifications (CSM, SAFe, or equivalent)
