We are seeking a Business Analyst II, Support Ops with strong Azure DevOps (ADO) expertise to partner with Product Management, Engineering, and business stakeholders. This role is responsible for leading requirements gathering, writing clear business and system requirements, translating needs into actionable delivery artifacts, and driving alignment across teams while working independently in a fast-paced environment. As a key member of the product team reporting to the Director of Product Management, you will own requirement definition from discovery through delivery, engage stakeholders across functions, and help ensure business objectives are translated into scalable technical solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
Technical & System Analysis
Lead requirements gathering sessions with business, product, and engineering teams to define, document, and manage business requirements, technical requirements, workflows, and system integrations.
Conduct gap analysis to evaluate system capabilities, identify constraints, and propose scalable solutions.
Write clear, concise, and complete business and system requirements, including API specifications, system interactions, and data models, to support integrations and new feature development.
Define and manage data mapping, schema structures, and system dependencies.
Utilize SQL and data analysis tools to validate business logic and system behavior.
Azure DevOps (ADO) Management & Agile Delivery
Manage and maintain work items in Azure DevOps (ADO), ensuring all requirements, tasks, and backlogs are properly documented and tracked.
Translate business objectives into Epics, Features, and User Stories in ADO with clear acceptance criteria.
Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives, ensuring smooth Agile execution.
Monitor ADO dashboards, sprint progress, and velocity metrics to support continuous improvement.
Cross-Team Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Drive stakeholder engagement across business, engineering, and product teams to align on requirements, priorities, dependencies, and deliverables.
Work with QA teams to define test cases, validate system behavior, and ensure acceptance criteria are met.
Collaborate with DevOps and Engineering to troubleshoot issues related to deployments, performance, and system configurations.
Conduct impact assessments for new features, ensuring business objectives align with technical feasibility.
Process Improvement & Documentation
Work autonomously to drive analysis, documentation, and follow-through while continuously improving BA best practices, documentation standards, and Agile ways of working.
Create and maintain technical documentation, process flows, and system architecture diagrams.
Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency improvements, and enhanced reporting.
Qualifications & Skills:
Must-Have:
5+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst in a software development environment.
Strong expertise in Azure DevOps (ADO) for managing requirements, work items, sprints, and backlog tracking
Proven experience in requirements gathering, requirements writing, and stakeholder management across business and technical teams.
Experience analyzing and documenting APIs, system architectures, and database structures.
Strong knowledge of SQL for data analysis and validation.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in Agile environment
Excellent ability to create Epics, Features, and User Stories with clear acceptance criteria.
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and drive work forward with minimal oversight.
Nice-to-Have:
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), or microservices architecture.
Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, or other Agile tools (if applicable).
Experience in industries such as finance, healthcare, SaaS, or enterprise software.
Background in process automation, AI, or machine learning projects.
Knowledge of GitHub Copilot is a plus.
