The Business Analyst – Salesforce is responsible for analyzing business processes, operational performance, and system data to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role partners with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, translate business needs into Salesforce reporting and insights, and improve operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve quickly. They possess strong business acumen, hands-on Salesforce experience, and excel at turning complex data into actionable insights. Experience with marketing data analysis, including MQLs, SQLs, funnel metrics, and campaign performance is a strong plus.
- Analyze business operations, processes, and performance metrics to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement
Partner with stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and other functions to gather and document business requirements
Translate business needs into Salesforce reports, dashboards, and data models that support operational and strategic decision-making
Prepare forward-looking business and operational analyses to support planning, performance tracking, and strategic initiatives
Gather, validate, and interpret data from Salesforce and other enterprise systems to support reporting and analytics
Analyze marketing funnel performance, including MQLs, SQLs, conversion rates, lead lifecycle stages, and campaign effectiveness
Partner with Marketing Operations to ensure accurate data capture, attribution, and reporting within Salesforce and connected systems
Provide insights and recommendations to improve lead quality, campaign performance, pipeline generation, and overall funnel efficiency
Evaluate existing workflows and recommend improvements to increase operational efficiency, data quality, and reporting accuracy
Ensure all solutions align with Salesforce best practices and internal governance standards
Maintain documentation for system changes, business processes, reporting logic, and training materials
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Requires 2–5 years of related professional experience
Strong operating experience with a proven ability to support and improve day-to-day business performance
Hands-on Salesforce experience is required, including extracting, analyzing, and interpreting operational and financial data
Experience building, customizing, and maintaining Salesforce reports and dashboards
Experience with marketing data analysis, including marketing funnel metrics (MQL, SQL, SAL, conversion rates, and pipeline metrics)
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize data into actionable insights
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills
Computer / Technical Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Advanced Excel skills for data analysis, reporting, and modeling
Salesforce proficiency required (reports, dashboards, data analysis)
Experience with business intelligence, analytics, or reporting tools preferred
Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new systems, tools, and evolving priorities
