How You Will Contribute:
Ciena seeks a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of an IT Business Analyst. You will play a pivotal role in optimising our IT services and processes, ensuring alignment between business needs and technology solutions. This role will focus on improving efficiency and driving continuous improvement across our IT landscape.
Responsibilities
- Gather and document business needs, requirements, and functional/technical specifications, translating them into actionable solutions.
- Analyse and improve processes, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technology capabilities.
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery lifecycle, from initial request through implementation and closure.
- Serve as a domain expert on complex IT issues and processes.
- Lead meetings, facilitate agreement and drive alignment.
- Proactively identify potential risks within delivery and implement mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects and Product Owners to define and refine the Services Technology Roadmap.
- Identify and measure baseline metrics to inform decision-making and track the effectiveness of initiatives.
- Effectively communicate progress updates to both technical and non-technical audiences and executives.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in IT service management and business analysis.
