We are seeking a talented, motivated and passionate sustainability focussed individual to join our Sustainability consulting sales team. The primary function of this role is to carry out business development and support  the sales of consulting services projects 

 

Roles and Responsibilities 

 

You will help our clients operate and perform more sustainably! The focus of your work will be to work with marketing as well as carry out business development activities by supporting in the sales of Product and Corporate sustainability consulting projects. Your day-to-day activities may include: 

  • Sales pitch to potential leads and prospects 

  • Liasion with marketing on running campaigns, generating leads and engaging with the leads with business development potential 

  • Generate proposals and estimates for the sales opportunities 

  • Work with Sphera sales tools and processes, write contracts and realize project in sales systems 

  • Ensuring your projects adhere to scope, schedule, budget, and quality, and 

  • Working together with Sphera team members across different specialties and regions. 

 

Requirements: 

  • BE /B. Tech in Chemical/Mechanical/Civil/Electrical Engineering and M. Tech/ MBA degree in environmental engineering, science, Energy, Sustainability or related field. 

  • 2-5 years’ experience and functional knowledge in the area of sustainability consulting sales and sustainability standards and frameworks. 

  • A positive “can-do” attitude 

  • Knowledge and passion for sustainability, environmental systems, and/or climate change. 

  • Strong quantitative or technical background with an excellent aptitude for analytical thinking.  

  • Natural curiosity to investigate, conduct research, design solutions and translate results into business practices. 

  • Good oral and written communication skills; ability to articulate issues, give presentations, and prepare formal written reports. 

  • Self-motivated and organized; able to simultaneously work on multiple assignments and to work both independently as well as on teams. 

  • Proficiency with MS Office, particularly Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
