Position Summary:Redaptive is looking for a self-motivated, passionate, and collaborative Business Intelligence Specialist to work closely with our growing team based in the US & India. The role will involve collaborating with multiple teams such as Finance, Marketing, Sales, Vendor management and Technology etc. to drive and deliver BI solutions. You would be responsible for owning and leading Business Intelligence projects end-to-end. This role is ideal for someone who has a strong foundation in data transformation and modeling, with hands-on coding experience in PySpark, Python, SQL and a working understanding of BI requirements. You’ll focus on building and optimizing silver and gold-layer data models in Databricks, preparing data to support dashboards and self-service analytics using tools like Tableau and the upcoming ThoughtSpot platform. We are looking for someone who thrives in an ambiguous, fast paced environment, can use great judgement to make decisions and display empathy and resilience.
Responsibilities and Duties:Design, build, and maintain robust data models using PySpark & SparkSQL in Databricks, aligned to BI/reporting needs.
Prepare silver and gold layer datasets, transforming raw inputs into clean, business-ready tables.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into optimized data structures.
Support Tableau dashboards by ensuring the availability and quality of underlying data sources.
Participate in the onboarding and adoption of new tools like ThoughtSpot, contributing to the evolution of our BI stack.
Convert existing Tableau Prep data flows and logic into PySpark/Spark SQL workflows in Databricks to support scalable and maintainable data pipelines
Write efficient, modular, and well-documented transformation code with a focus on maintainability and performance.

Required Abilities and Skills:Ability to work with multiple competing priorities.
Ability to gather requirements by interacting with multiple stakeholders across the organization.
Experience in managing stakeholder expectations.
5–8 years of experience in a BI, analytics, or data transformation
Strong experience with data modeling concepts, particularly for BI (e.g., dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas)
Proficient in PySpark and Python for data manipulation, transformation, and business logic implementation.
Solid SQL skills, especially in a distributed compute environment (e.g., Spark SQL).
Experience working with Tableau or similar BI tools to support reporting workflows.
Exposure to Tableau Prep, Alteryx, or similar transformation frameworks
Familiarity with data quality, performance tuning, and validation best practices.
Hands-on experience with Databricks and Delta Lake
Familiarity with ThoughtSpot or other AI-driven analytics platforms.
Understanding of CI/CD, Git-based version control, and collaborative development practices in data environments.
At least 2 years’ experience in managing multiple projects and stakeholders.
Strong experience in data manipulation and ETL process using SQL, Python or any equivalent ETL tool.
4 - 8 years of experience of extracting/analyzing data using SQL and Tableau Desktop or similar BI tools for sharing insights and self-serve reporting
Experience in creating dashboards using tableau or similar BI tools
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, data analytics or equivalent field
