Team Overview:
BlackRock's Reporting & Regulatory Solutions (RRS) sits within part of Tech & Ops Client Experience (CX) and is responsible for the preparation and delivery of sophisticated economic and financial analysis to a diverse client base. Portfolio performance, attribution, and investment commentary as well as detailed risk analytics are provided to clients through formal periodic reporting and web delivery. In addition, Reporting Services is responsible for partnering with multiple upstream data providers ranging across Data & AI, Accounting, Performance and regional investment and product strategy teams.
Job Overview:
We are looking for a passionate Data Engineer Associate for our Reporting & Regulatory Solutions (RRS) Data Team who enjoys engineering and optimizing data sets, building robust data pipelines, and contributing to the architecture of our data infrastructure building Views on Snowflake Environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, experience with big data technologies, and a knack for solving complex data challenges.
Role & Responsibilities:
Create efficient data pipelines for data processing, transformation, and storage.
Develop and maintain data schemas and Views that align with business requirements to ensure data consistency and efficient querying enabling reuse.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement solutions.
Provide leadership and guidance to the technical teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
Implement best practices for cloud-based data storage, security, and scalability.
Generate ideas for designing and building data engineering solutions using standard frameworks.
Ability to design and build ETL solutions which are performant, consistent, and scalable.
Test and enable data migration from legacy data warehouse to cloud.
Desired Skills:
B. Tech (Computer Science) or equivalent degree preferred.
Experience in leading projects (local or global), stakeholder management, working with competing priorities
5+ Years of Experience with any programming languages, preferably SQL and Python
Knowledge of SQL and performance tuning. Experience with Snowflake is must.
Flexibility and ability to adapt to new technologies
Demonstrated experience working effectively within a collaborative team environment
