What it takes to succeed:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure engineering roles.
- Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform and cloud-native architecture principles.
- Advanced knowledge of Terraform and modern DevOps tooling for Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD automation.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, scalability, performance tuning, and cloud security best practices.
- Experience operating in regulated, high-availability, or payments environments.
- Ability to operate autonomously as a trusted technical owner, solving complex, multi-system challenges and influencing cloud standards across teams.
- Strong understanding of GCP global architecture including Regions, Zones, and Global VPC design.
- Strong IAM expertise covering roles, service accounts, and least privilege implementation.
- Ability to design scalable VPC architectures including hub-and-spoke and Shared VPC models.
- Good networking fundamentals including subnets, routing, and GCP firewall rule configuration.
- Good to have experience with APIGEE/API gateway.
Nice to have:
