We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Unreal Developer to lead the design and development of high-performance real-time applications using Unreal Engine (UE4/UE5). This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and is passionate about building scalable, high-quality interactive experiences.

As a senior member of the team, you will play a key role in shaping architecture, mentoring developers, and driving technical excellence across projects.

 

What You Will Do:

• Design, develop, and optimize advanced systems using Unreal Engine (UE4/UE5)

• Architect scalable, maintainable solutions for gameplay, simulation, or visualization

• Lead implementation of core features (rendering, physics, UI, networking, etc.)

• Collaborate closely with designers, artists, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality experiences

• Optimize performance across CPU, GPU, memory, and streaming systems

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable C++ and Blueprint code

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues

• Mentor junior and mid-level developers through code reviews and guidance

• Contribute to technical roadmaps, standards, and best practices
   

What You Will Need:

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• 5–10+ years of relevant development experience

• Demonstrated portfolio or shipped projects strongly preferred

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Must Have Skills:

• 5+ years of professional experience with Unreal Engine (UE4/UE5)

• Strong expertise in: 

  • Unreal Engine gameplay framework (GameMode, Actors, Components, etc.)

  • Blueprint scripting and C++ integration

  • Level streaming and world partition systems

• Advanced proficiency in C++

• Proven experience delivering at least one shipped product (game, simulation, or real-time application)

• Strong understanding of performance optimization techniques and tools

• Experience with version control systems (Perforce or Git)

• Solid understanding of software architecture and design patterns

• Experience with: 

  • Multiplayer systems (replication, RPCs)

  • Unreal profiling tools (Unreal Insights, GPU/CPU profiling)

  • Niagara VFX systems and animation pipelines

• Knowledge of rendering pipelines, materials, and shaders

• Experience integrating third-party SDKs or APIs

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and build automation

• Strong technical leadership and ownership mindset

• Ability to mentor and guide other developers

• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills

• Clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Ability to balance technical quality with project timelines

• Passion for real-time development and continuous improvement

Good to Have Skills:

• Experience with VR/AR (OpenXR, Meta, etc.)

• Background in simulation, training, or enterprise visualization

• Familiarity with AI systems (behavior trees, navigation)

• Knowledge of cloud-connected Unreal applications

• Exposure to other engines (Unity or proprietary engines)

Reporting Relationships:

Will report to a Sr. Manager Client Training Development and has no direct reports. 

 

Working Conditions:

Pune, India. The work environment will primarily be an air-conditioned office setting requiring the employee to sit for prolonged periods while concentrating on a computer screen or remote.
