Join our team as a Control Manager in the Payments Operations division, where you will play a crucial role in managing control managers across multiple global locations, including Bournemouth, Frankfurt, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Manila. As a Control Manager Vice President within the Payment Operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring risk and control management is effectively managed in support of the EMEA and Global Cash Operations business within Payment Operations. You will design and execute an optimum operational controlled environment, establishing strong partnerships with key functional partners in the EMEA Cash Operations business, as well as partners in Internal Audit, Operational Risk Management/Compliance (CCOR), Product, Technology, and Finance. You will also support the organization with data-driven initiatives that align with our Payment Controls agenda.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support operations and controls in change and event-related activities to map the data taxonomy across the business, linking operations, risk & control, and data domains.
- Drive the Operations control agenda and provide risk and change management support to the business.
- Manage control elements related to operations strategic projects.
- Conduct root cause analysis and follow up on preventive actions/process changes.
- Proactively drive and guide the direction of operational improvements in line with long-term strategic projects.
- Conduct and oversee end-to-end process reviews of key operational processes.
- Partner with Operational Risk and Compliance partners (CCOR) and Operations in NBIA's, including platform or people migrations.
- Provide guidance to operations partners regarding corporate policies, risk, and control management.
- Coordinate internal audits, CCOR and TCOE (Testing Center of Excellence) reviews, and external regulatory reviews.
- Design and execute an independent proactive review testing program.
- Ensure adequacy of business resiliency plans and their regular testing as it relates to CIB Resiliency guidelines.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Demonstrated use of data tools and ability to apply skills to the role.
- Self-motivated, confident decision-maker with leadership skills and credibility at a senior level.
- Knowledge of Change Management, Business/Industry/Regulatory, and Risk Control, Compliance & Corporate policies.
- Strong analytical skills to assess and determine key issues within complex business products.
- Strong interpersonal skills, particularly in data presentation, influencing, and negotiation.
- Ability to effectively prioritize against complex business demands and demonstrate delivery against multiple objectives.
- Good product knowledge; familiar with product set supported by Payment Operations and Treasury Services.
- Ability to lead relevant strategic operations-related projects on a global basis.
