Job Details
Files all shipments eligible for money back guarantee based on exception reporting and tracks what has been approved, denied, and paid. Handles all claims filing with third-party shipping companies; identifies what shipments qualify for claim, submits the claim, tracks claim status (paid vs. rejected) Tracks customer emergency deliveries (hot shots) and creates customer billing for those eligible in accordance with their PVA Handles exception management by tracking shipments and responding to customer inquiries Processes invoices for payment. Monitors dashboard that will analyze daily/weekly/monthly transportation KPIs (key performance indicators) Works with carriers and Transportation Manager as needed to improve various aspects of performance, to be managed and reported by carrier scorecard Proficient in data acquisition from various Enterprise Client Relationship or Transportation Management systems which include but not limited to: WMS, SAP, TMS PKMS, IBS and other systems or data sources as needed or added Analyzes and performs freight & lane characteristics to ensure the optimal carriers are used for end mile delivery Complies with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules and regulations Performs related duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor's degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Normally requires minimum of two (2) years directly related and progressively responsible experience.
Exposure to pharmaceutical industry helpful, small package, LTL, experience a plus.
Ability to effectively present information to all organizational levels; hourly associates, supervisors, upper management, and external groups related to the industry.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
1. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
2. Knowledge of ABC policies, programs & services and products
3. Strong interpersonal skills
4. Excellent negotiating skills
5. Prior experience with full truckloads
6. Strong analytical skills
7. Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
8. Ability to implement processes resulting in satisfactory audit practices
9. Strong computer skills in order to operate effectively with company systems and programs; knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
10. Prior experience working with Transportation Management Systems is a plus
11. Good analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions
