About the Role
An Exim (Export-Import) Executive is responsible for managing a company's international trade operations, which involves handling all aspects of import and export processes. This includes managing documentation, ensuring compliance with customs and regulations, coordinating with stakeholders like freight forwarders and customs brokers, and handling logistics to ensure the timely and smooth flow of goods across borders. You will collaborate with the Cross functional team to understand the requirements and meet project timelines. In this role, you will report to the Logistics Manager.
What You Will Do
- Prepare and manage all necessary documents for import and export
- Ensure all activities comply with local and international trade regulations, customs laws, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with external parties like freight forwarders, customs brokers (CHA), and suppliers to manage the shipment and movement of goods smoothly.
- Arrange and monitor shipping. Address any delays or issues that arise.
- Oversee the customs clearance process, both in the office and at the field level. Liaise with customs officials to ensure timely clearance.
- Manage financial transactions related to international trade, such as duties, taxes, and payments
- Maintain accurate records of all Exim transactions and report on activities to management
- Maintain good communication and strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues that may arise during the export or import process
- Monitor market trends and look for opportunities to optimize shipping cost and improve overall Exim processes
What You Need to Be Successful
- Clear understanding of Automotive industries supply chain
- Knowledge of International Trade Regulations
- Well versed with Customs Clearance Procedures
- 4 to 5 Years Experience in Exim function
- Good communication
- Well versed in Advanced excel and MS office tools
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks within deadlines.
Bonus Points if You Have
- Degree/Diploma in Import-Exports
- Previous experience in Automotive electronic manufacturing companies in an MNC organization
- Sound knowledge in Imports and Exports documentation and procedures
- Knowledge of Export-Import Compliance tools
- Knowledge in SAP (Material Management)
What Makes You Eligible
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures
- Good in communication (English, Hindi and Marathi)
- Flexible to work in different time zones
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
