DCS is wholesale lending unit specializing in floorplan lines of credits, real estate loans, acquisition loans, working capital loans, and treasury products to 500+ franchised retail automobile dealers. As an Associate in Strategic Analytics, you will work with the Dealer Commercial Services risk team to generate thoughtful analytics and recommendations to the business concerning strategy development, implementation, operational controls, and performance monitoring. As a Risk Associate, you will assist our Head of Portfolio Analytics and Chief Risk Officer by managing and executing projects or components of projects from start to finish including project management, data gathering and manipulation, problem solving, communication of insights and recommendations. Projects will involve stakeholders from and have impact to functions across the line of business and is typically geared towards revenue enhancement, cost reduction, risk mitigation, process improvement or other priorities as defined by management. As part of the key responsibilities, you will:
- Lead the development and maintenance of advanced analytics to provide senior management with comprehensive insights into emerging trends and portfolio quality.
- Attain a detailed understanding of key performance metrics and profitability drivers, enabling the delivery of insights encompassing the full account lifecycle
- Gain a thorough understanding of operational processes, such as manual underwriting and portfolio management, to enhance the analysis of DCS performance drivers.
- Oversee and manage work projects by fostering collaboration with partners across various lines of business.
- Act as a strategic liaison between business and analytic teams to cultivate a culture of data-driven decision-making.
- Conduct sophisticated data analytics and validation on complex datasets to extract actionable insights
- Collaborate with Data, BI and other technical teams to map source data and data pipelines and define business rules and reporting requirements that will support business team efficiently consume data and develop insights
- Develop presentation decks with an ability to present at all levels of management
Minimum Skills, Experience and Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or STEM related fields; MS/MBA preferred
- 2+ years of professional experience related to financial services with focus on credit risk management, data or marketing analytics; exposure to commercial lending is preferred
- High degree of fluency in data extraction and manipulation tools (SQL, SAS, PYTHON, TABLEAU etc.) in addition to strong Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills
- Understanding and familiarity of statistical and financial concepts including regression, decision trees, time series and advanced modeling techniques
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with intellectual curiosity
- Strong, clear, and concise written and verbal communication with ability to edit and prepare executive level communications.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills; able to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
- Proven ability to collaborate, build strong partnerships across different skills
