The Curriculum Quality Associate is the guardian of our educational content, ensuring excellence across interactive lessons and video-based courses. This role involves comprehensive quality oversight of our expansive content catalog, maintaining accuracy and effectiveness standards that drive learner success.
As a frontline quality advocate, the Curriculum Quality Associate conducts thorough content audits, addresses user feedback, and upholds our rigorous pedagogical and editorial standards. Working closely with Technology Content Developers, the Curriculum Quality Associate plays a critical role in certifying and delivering exceptional learner experiences.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive pre-release QA on content to ensure accuracy and effectiveness before learner access.
- Perform thorough Quality Assurance checks for content in production, including fixing small errors and providing detailed feedback to the production team.
- Assess technical accuracy and identify issues across multiple programming languages and frameworks to maintain high-quality standards.
- Review content for editorial and grammatical issues with a strong grasp of English language standards to ensure professional quality.
- Maintain and enforce quality standards to enhance the learner's learning experience and ensure content excellence.
- Detect and resolve any accessibility issues in content
- Edit images, set up and test coding projects, and program tools to optimize workflows when necessary
- Conduct ongoing quality audits of existing content to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Develop and implement quality control processes to streamline content validation and approval workflows.
- Monitor content quality metrics and report on quality trends to inform continuous improvement initiatives.
- Log and assign user-reported bugs and feedback to appropriate team members while tracking quality issues.
- Identify and resolve issues reported by learners and customer support on time to maintain a quality learner experience.
- Work collaboratively with Curriculum Developers, Project Managers, and Platform Engineers to address blockers to content launch while ensuring quality is not compromised.
Skills Required
- Technical Foundation: CS background or proficiency in one or more programming languages (C++, C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, SQL) plus experience with JavaScript, Regex, Test Driven Development, and Markdown.
- Quality Assurance: Experience or aptitude for identifying technical issues and ensuring content accuracy.
- Editorial Skills: Strong command of written English with excellent editorial and grammatical review capabilities.
- Technical Adaptability: Willingness to read documentation and learn new languages and technologies as needed.
- Platform Learning: Willingness to learn new programming features and master the interactive content platform.
- Experience: Experience working in content/editorial quality assurance or a similar role.
- Communication: Highly responsive and self-directed with strong collaborative skills.
- Time Management: Strong time management and organizational skills; attention to detail and initiative.
