Summary: As a Software Development Lead, you will be responsible for developing and configuring software systems, either end-to-end or for specific stages of the product lifecycle. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various teams, applying your knowledge of technologies and methodologies, and ensuring that the software solutions meet client requirements effectively and efficiently. You will engage in problem-solving and decision-making processes that impact the project and the team, fostering an environment of innovation and excellence. Roles & Responsibilities: • Act as an SME for Windchill Data Migration, managing end-to-end migration projects from planning to execution. • Lead and mentor migration teams, ensuring timely delivery of complex migration solutions. • Define migration strategy, including data extraction, transformation, validation, and load execution. • Collaborate with functional consultants, DBAs, and technical teams to ensure data integrity and performance optimization. • Implement error handling mechanisms, rollback strategies, and maintain compliance with client requirements. • Drive best practices, perform reviews, and ensure adherence to migration frameworks and quality standards. • Manage client communication, risk assessment, and issue resolution throughout the migration lifecycle. - Professional & Technical Skills: • Strong expertise in Windchill Bulk Migrator (WBM) and ETL tools for large-scale migrations. • Deep understanding of Windchill data model, including WTParts, WTDocuments, and EPMDocuments. • Proficient in Java, XML, SQL, Info*Engine, and scripting for custom migration solutions. • Experience in CAD structure migrations, part data migration, and attribute mapping strategies. • Skilled in performance tuning, error handling, and validation techniques for complex data loads. • Knowledge of integration aspects related to migration (ERP sync, downstream systems). • Familiarity with Agile methodology, configuration management (Git/SVN), and CI/CD for migration utilities. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 8 years of experience in PTC Windchill. - A 15 years full time education is required.
