Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, you will engage in the design, construction, and configuration of applications tailored to meet specific business processes and application requirements. Your typical day will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, developing innovative solutions, and ensuring that applications are optimized for performance and usability. You will also participate in testing and debugging processes to deliver high-quality software solutions that align with organizational goals.

Role and responsibilities –
Design, develop, and implement complex Power BI reports and dashboards with minimal supervision.
Develop and optimize data models, ensuring scalability, performance, and best practices in semantic modelling.
Write efficient DAX measures and queries to deliver accurate and performance-optimized insights.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Perform testing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning to ensure high-quality and reliable reporting solutions.
Professional & Technical Skills:
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Power BI development, delivering medium to high-complexity dashboards and reports.
Strong expertise in Power BI, DAX, and SQL.
Hands-on experience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) and data access governance.
Good understanding of data modelling concepts (Star schema, Snowflake schema, relationships, performance optimization).
Good Troubleshooting skills, Problem solving mindset
Ability to grasp information and requirements quickly and provide inputs on Data modelling
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Should be able to work directly with onshore team members.
Nice to Have: Experience with Synapse and Azure SQL.
Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps processes, and version control for BI solutions.
Additional Information:
Experience working directly with onshore/global stakeholders is preferred.
