Strong experience in SAP ABAP Development for HANA
Ability to design, build, configure, and develop ABAP applications to meet business and application requirements
Hands on involvement in coding, testing, debugging, and enhancing ABAP applications
Experience collaborating with cross functional (technical and functional) teams to translate business needs into technical solutions
Participation in code reviews, performance optimization, and troubleshooting
Strong understanding of object oriented programming principles and application development fundamentals
Experience working with Agile development methodologies
Ability to work independently, contribute to team discussions, and deliver assigned components end to end

These skills are frequently valuable but not mandatory across every ABAP on HANA demand.
Knowledge of database management, data modeling, and optimization techniques
Familiarity with debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting in SAP environments

Experience contributing to architecture and design discussions (more common at SSE/TL levels)
Depending on Client Needs (Demand Specific / Program Driven Overlays)

SAP S/4HANA–specific optimizations and HANA centric development approaches (when the client is fully on S/4HANA)
Deeper expertise in performance critical ABAP on HANA scenarios (large data volumes, optimization heavy programs)
Mentoring and technical leadership responsibilities for junior ABAP developers (common in GCC / AMS roles)
Stronger focus on continuous improvement and modernization initiatives in long running SAP programs
