Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves designing, building, and configuring applications tailored to fulfill specific business processes and application needs. This role requires continuous engagement with evolving project requirements, ensuring that solutions align with organizational goals. The workday often includes collaborating with various stakeholders to understand application demands, refining system functionalities, and implementing configurations that enhance overall business efficiency. Attention to detail and adaptability are essential as the engineer navigates through complex application landscapes to deliver effective and reliable software solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to identify and resolve technical challenges that impact project delivery and team productivity.
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous improvement among team members.
- Support junior team members by providing guidance and facilitating their professional growth.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Scala, Spark, Scala tests, AWS services (Step functions, CloudFormation,S3, KMS, Glue, EKS, IAM,SQS/SNS)
- Shell scripting, AI Integration, Python , Iceberg, Mongo DB, Kubernetes , GitHub/ Teamcity (Good to have skills)
- Strong experience in functional programming concepts and their application in software development.
- Ability to design scalable and maintainable codebases using Scala.
- Familiarity with integrating Scala applications with various data sources and APIs.
- Experience in debugging, testing, and optimizing Scala applications for performance and reliability.
- Knowledge of concurrent and parallel programming paradigms within the Scala ecosystem.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Scala.
- This position is based at our Pune office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
